Description
Industrial action by the ASLEF union will affect the South Western Railway network on the following dates:
Monday 29 January and Wednesday 31 January to Tuesday 6 February - Overtime ban
Tuesday 30 January - Strike action
South Western Railway are working to confirm services for all the affected dates and will provide updates in due course.
On Tuesday 30 January, a severely reduced service will operate on a limited number of lines.
Large parts of the SWR network will be closed, including the Island Line, and trains will only run between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00. There will be no services outside of these hours.
Customers should only travel if their journeys are absolutely necessary.
Train services are expected to be extremely busy. If possible, customers should avoid travelling on the first and last services of the day.
On Monday 29 January and from Wednesday 31 January to Tuesday 6 February, train services will be subject to late-notice alterations and cancellations. Customers should check before travelling.
